Four World Class Programme athletes have been shortlisted for November’s Athletes’ Athlete of the Month award.
Seonaid McIntosh (shooting), Isaac Okoh (boxing), Bly Twomey (para-table tennis) and Patrick Wilson (boccia) have all been shortlisted following their success last month.
The award is presented by the British Elite Athletes Association on behalf of its members and celebrates both sporting and non-sporting achievements, such as charitable efforts and awareness raising.
November’s first nominee is British Shooting’s Seonaid McIntosh, who became the first British woman to win a world medal in the 50m Rifle 3 Positions event, after claiming bronze at the ISSF World Championships. Seonaid’s success was all the more impressive as she only returned to training in October after a 12-month break from the sport following the Paris Olympics.
Isaac won two gold medals in a hugely impressive month for the heavyweight. It began with a unanimous victory at the 2025 Tammer Tournament in Finland, before he was crowned champion at the World Boxing Cup Finals in India, where an impressive performance ensured he was on the right side of a split decision.
Bly makes the shortlist in recognition of a brilliant showing at the ITTF European Para Table Tennis Championships, where she came away with three medals. The teenager won the women’s class seven singles to claim her first major title in what was her first appearance in a major final. She followed that up with a second gold in the mixed doubles class 14 alongside Will Bayley and also secured bronze in the women’s doubles class 14 with Fliss Pickard.
Our final nominee is Patrick, who won two medals at the Coimbra World Cup on his return from a 15-month absence due to health reasons. The Scot won gold in the men’s BC3 individual event before adding a silver medal to his collection alongside Sally Kidson in the BC3 pairs event.
The winner will be decided by BEAA members - athletes funded by UK Sport’s World Class Programme – who will have the opportunity to vote for their winner via the BEAA’s Instagram story.
The vote will take place at 16:00 GMT on Monday 1 December.
